Outsource Claim Services is quickly making its mark as an innovator in the insurance claim services industry. Our founder has spent most of his life in the collision repair and insurance industries. Frustrated by the many shortcomings found in today’s independent appraisal industry (insurance companies sendinging out individuals through independent appraisal companies to inspect claims who they would never hire themselves due to their incompetence, unreliability, or spotty history) he saw a unique opportunity. He visualized a company full of energetic young blood, a company that ran much as a claims department at one of the top three carriers. After meeting and brainstorming with several leaders in various claims departments and asking them what they wanted to see in the company handling their subleted inspections, Outsource Claim Services was born.

Outsource is a company of staff appraisers, not freelancers. This brings a whole new level of ownership to the work and responsibility to the client from the appraiser. In the independent appraisal scene, various firms may hire the same individual. If a situation arises and a company stops using a firm due to the actions of one appraiser, they may go to another independent appraisal company and get that same appraiser doing work for them again, with a different header on his estimate. That won’t happen here.

Recently, insurance companies have learned how important image is during the claims process. The top insurance carriers go far in order to project a professional and presentable image through their staff appraisers. This means clean identifiable vehicles, company uniforms, and a courteous work etiquette. During times of increased claims volume, if that same company sends out an independent appraiser, those clients are getting a totally different claims experience, and they shouldn’t.

We hired a computer programmer to develop a web-based system where everyone--insurance clients, field appraisers, OCS upper management, our dispatchers, and auditors--can go and perform any and all necessary actions. Using a unique login and password clients have access to past and present claims. Clients can view status notes, post relevant information, make changes, request supplement re-inspections, download completed reports, and pay their bill, all online.
